At present, there are many brands of copy paper and printing paper on the market, and there are many brand-name products. As for the price, they are not particularly large. Users can choose the right paper product according to their own needs. At the time of purchase, we can refer to the following performance parameters, especially for copy paper and printing paper, can be selected with reference to the following points.
First, the paper whiteness. Paper whiteness is the ability of the paper to reflect completely after being exposed to light, expressed as a percentage. The higher the whiteness of the paper, the more vivid and pleasing the ink is, and the better the visual effect.
Second, tightness. Tightness refers to the weight of paper and board per cubic centimeter. The result is expressed in grams/cubic centimeter. In general, the higher the tightness, the higher the tensile strength, because the more closely the cellulose constituting the paper is bound, the higher the elongation, the tearing degree and the folding resistance. Therefore, it is an important performance parameter and must be paid more attention when purchasing.
Third, smoothness. Smoothness is defined as the time in seconds required for a given volume of air to pass through a gap between the surface of the specimen subjected to a certain pressure and the glass surface under a certain degree of vacuum. The higher the number of seconds, the better the smoothness of the paper. The better the paper smoothness, the more uniform and complete the contact of the paper surface with the print head or the drum during printing or copying, the more sufficient the ink transfer, and the better the print product color rendering effect. Therefore, use paper with good smoothness as far as possible when purchasing, so that the use effect will be better.
Fourth, the absorption of paper. Absorption of paper refers to the absorptive capacity of the paper to the binder and its solvent in the ink and is usually expressed as a percentage. Paper with strong ink absorption, the hue of printed ink is easy to fade, and the ink layer lacks glossiness. In addition, since the binder in the ink is mostly absorbed by the fibrous tissue of the paper, the pigment particles are not sufficiently protected, and the ink film on the print is not firm, and the phenomenon of “powdering†in the print is likely to occur. Conversely, if the ink absorption of the paper is too weak, the ink layer of the printed product will not be adhered securely, and the print will not be easily dried, which will easily cause the back of the printed product to become dirty. Therefore, according to the characteristics of the use of printed products, select the appropriate absorption of paper in order to better ensure the quality.
Fifth, quantitative. Quantitatively known as grammage refers to the weight of paper per unit area, generally expressed in grams per square meter. Bakes weighing 8g-150g are called thin paper. Daily use of printing paper, copy paper, fax paper, etc. are thin paper. Generally speaking, the use of paper, select the medium weight of paper on it, but if it is important documents issued, notice, the choice of grams of paper is better, it will give people a sense of weight, we will pay more attention.
Six, thickness. Thickness indicates the thickness of the paper. This should be chosen according to the specific application. For example, for double-sided printing, thicker paper is more appropriate; if you want to be light, the thickness is better.
Seven, tensile strength. Tensile strength refers to the tension of paper or cardboard. The higher the strength, the less easily the paper is pulled. For example, if you use long paper to print reports and forms, stick them to the wall. If the tensile strength of the paper is high, the report or form will not break easily, and the time will remain as it is.
Eight, elongation. Elongation refers to the percentage of the length of the original sample after the paper or paperboard is subjected to a certain amount of tension until it breaks. The higher the elongation, the stronger the paper's flexibility and the paper is not easily broken. This is similar to the rubber band. If the elongation is too low, the paper may be broken when it is accidentally used, which has an adverse effect both on the working efficiency and on the economy.
Nine, tearing degree. Tear is the force required to tear a pre-notched specimen to a certain length, expressed in kilotons (tons). Some papers can easily tear in half as soon as they have a rip. This is why tearing is too low. Therefore, when you buy, you may want to take a sample and tear it and try to choose a paper with a high degree of tear.
Ten, folding degree. The folding resistance is the number of reciprocating folds that can withstand 180° under certain tension. It is related to elongation to a large extent, users can choose according to whether they will often fold the paper, but it is recommended that you buy paper with high degree of folding.
After grasping so much knowledge about paper, I believe that everyone will be able to handle it with ease when they choose office paper.
