First we open a photo in Photoshop CS software. Click on File - Open in the menu bar and select a photo taken in Huangshan in the opening dialog. The first step is to check the exposure of this photo. In the Photoshop CS software, click on the Window - Histogram in the menu bar. Using the histogram to check the exposure of this photo is the most scientific. In previous versions of Photoshop software, we could find the Histogram option in the image in the menu bar.

The horizontal axis of the histogram shows the brightness distribution from black (dark part) to white (bright part) from left to right. The brightness of an exposure-accurate photo should be evenly distributed in the histogram, and both sides of the histogram are not There will be pixel overflow. The vertical axis of the histogram indicates the number of pixels in the photograph in the corresponding region. The higher the peak value, the more pixels in the luminance region. As this photo was taken in the early morning and fog was added, the contrast between light and shade was weak. In the histogram, we can very easily see the peak of the photo is mainly concentrated in the bright part, there is no highlight overflow, basically in line with the shooting scene, so the exposure is no problem
